Saturday 28.06.25 we entered the Golborne Festival of Football.
So what a day these kids gave us today, starting off with a group stage of 5 teams, we drew 2 and won 2 putting ups top of the group and through to the top champions league group of another 5 strong teams.
First game our kids started a little slow giving too much space to the opposition, finishing with a 0-0 draw.
Second game against another fantastic team, we went behind early before pulling away to win 3-1.
Third game. Our kids dialled in and won comfortably 3-0
Fourth game, a win would of won us the trophy outright but it was a tough physical game that finished 0-0
We finished tied for 1st in the top group and equal on goal difference, however the winners scored a single goal more than the Boca kids.
We couldn't be prouder of them all, this was the best tournament football l've seen these kids play to-date, conceding just 3 goals all day while scoring plenty, a pleasure to watch and coach, just so unlucky 1 more goal and they lift the trophy.
We learn and go forward.

Such a fantatsic afternoon to issue both the Saturday team and Sunday team their kits for the new season with a few little extra surprise along the way too.
